When We Were on Fire is a dramatic audio adaptation of the 2013 book When We Were on Fire: A Memoir of Consuming Faith, Tangled Love, and Starting Over by Addie Zierman. This is her story of growing up "on fire for God" as an evangelical poster child in the '90s, her disillusionment with that faith, and her journey through church culture, first love, and depression to find a way forward.

I adapted the book into a 90-minute audio drama, in four parts. I auditioned and cast more than 45 voice actors (including voiceover artist Aria Sivick in the lead role), directed 50+ hours of studio recording, and did all the editing, mixing, and sound design.

Artwork is by Skylar White, original music by Frank Sheffield.
